wayne x eminem x drake…2010 grammy performance
this needs to be spread around so more people see the FAKENESS that the Grammy’s have become!!
THE SINGLE most important performance of the night…they effed up the sound (yes they broadcasted it this way). in addition to that, whoever was the light technician that choreographed this was not real impressive to me…pretty obnoxious actually.
this performance was really beautiful and seemed to be a good dot of the “i” on the decade. i am just so completely fed up with the grammy’s. they are stuck in a broad “everyone likes what we think is pop” mindset. they are run by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences which “is a U.S. organization of musicians, producers, recording engineers and other recording professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for music and its makers.” which sort of makes sense to me as far as the voting…but what about who sets up the performances, and the presentation, and the production, and writing of the show?? they obviously spend more time on certain pop acts opposed to others. also, the indie music scene is rapidly growing (especially with younger people…the ones who care about “pop music”) and i suspect will soon reach the point where it is competing on an even ground with the majors. will the academy continue to ignore us as they do now?…that would be a major mistake imo if they do.
just some things to think about…
peace and evolve love.
InfeRed update…No Turn On Red official cover
Hope you’re all enjoying the No Turn On Red mixtape. It’s on Datpiff and imeem, along with way too many free file download sites (megaupload|rapidshare|sendspace|zshare|limelinx|filefactory)!
This is just an update with the improved, OFFICIAL No Turn cover.
It just needed some slight improvements. We were set back a bit trying to decide what felt the best, but I think this cover really matches the spirit of the tape and InfeRed’s music in general.
Keep listening and let us know what you think about the music. We’re also looking to do shows so if you know of something and would like to feature InfeRed contact us!
Peace, and no turn on love, cover.
open mic night…infeRed
Peace! If you’re in the Indianapolis area, stop by to check out InfeRed making an appearance at this open mic night.
Should be a good time, Red never fails to put on a ill live set. If you make it out, let us know what you think on here!
Peace, and open your heart, to love.
wale…kanye tracks that never tracked
Wale talks about 4 (potential bp3) tracks Kanye flew in to play for Jay-Z before a show. he wanted a couple of them, specifically “A Star Is Born” for the intro to Attention Defecit (in stores now!! it’s pretty ill!!!)…i would have liked it better with Wale, don’t really like the Jay version HONESTLY.
Kanye producing “Let The Money Fall” for Wale, KiD CuDi, Drake…dope. could still come into fruition??
peace, and remember to smile, love.
lupe fiasco…forever freestyle (live)
here’s a video from a recent show where ‘lu when in over Drake’s “Forever.” my guess is a mp3 of this will be on the new Fahrenheit mixtape coming the end of November.
yea…he is better than all of them except maybe em (maybe!).
peace, and remember to smile, love.

Kid Cudi…embrace the live
Peep the new stage setup and lights he’s got going on here. I read that he got the lighting guy from the GLow In The Dark Tour. THIS is a real live show…THIS is what hip hop is now. This is one of the reasons Kanye’s changed Hip Hop/music in general. Inspiration! Please take notes.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Here are some shots Cudi posted on his blog, taken by photographer Mel D Cole ( villageslum.com )…this guy is incredible!
I’m going to Lollapalooza in Chicago on 8/7 (hit me up if you’ll be there!) and I’ll be seeing this show. I’ll let you know the details late.
