InfeRed … HEAVY
InfeRed utilizes the Just Blaze produced track, Exhibit C by Jay Electronica to showcase how HEAVY he really gets. Indianapolis MC, InfeRed, has been likened to Lupe Fiasco, Elzhi, and Black Thought.
HEAVY is a sort of series of quick twitches of his lyrical muscles, flexing the kind brawn he shows on an average day.

InfeRed – HEAVY (Soundcloud listen/download)
HEAVY is the second song (previous: Dracula’s Reflection) from InfeRed’s song-a-week series until his forthcoming 2010 mixtape titled EARS OPEN is completely released. Each song features a unique piece of artwork inspired by the track.
The official HEAVY single artwork and 3 shots of InfeRed are attached.

lupe fiasco…solar midnite
new lupe!!
Lupe Fiasco – Solar Midnite|iTunes
Solar Midnite is my first commercial release that I actually produced as well as wrote. The New Moon team asked me if I could do a song specifically for the film. They invited me to an early screening of the unfinished film from which I pulled different elements that I thought would translate into a great song. I pulled in vocalist and bassist Graham Burris and acclaimed musician Matt Nelson to help fill it out my vision musically and “joila” Solar Midnite was born. The song basically deals with the chaotic love story that takes place between the characters. It’s more on the rock side of my musical catalog and comes straight from my die hard fanhood of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Anthony Keidis, one of my FAVORITE RAPPERS.
it’s from the New Moon soundtrack.
pretty dope. it sounds to me like his two projects (Lupe Fiasco and Japanese Cartoon) coming together into one. featuring the side of him that loves electric distorted guitar, heavy, distorted vocals, rock drums with rapping and catchy choruses. it’ll be interesting to see how this is received by the general population who loves lupe for his previous releases; superstar, daydream, and shining down. no word on whether or not this will be on Lasers or not. it’s a far stray from the first single Shining Down though.
peace, and solar love.
michael jackson…this is it title track
check the first single to michael jackson’s This Is It film and soundtrack.
Peace, and love (is it).
lupe…laser time
here’s a sweet series of recent blogs from codename #WEARELASERS…
apparently shining down was just the first leak but not the first single. perhaps army girl? (see below)
the following video:
…Lupe perform at an underpromoted fraternity Step competition Sprite was sponsoring on campus.
Here’s a video I took on my iPhone of Lupe performing his new joint “Fire”; he gives a minute-long intro explaining the track and what it has to do with MTV’s recently released 2009 Hottest MCs List. I believe this is the first time he’s performed the track.
Also, he performed a new track, “Army Girl”, off of his upcoming album Lasers. -WeDoItRight
He talks about how (as previously posted) he’s ok with the list being “right now”…but he’s gonna have to be “two straight solid years” where he’s “like 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on that mothafucker.” he says he’s just going to put in the work.
i respect a hard worker more that about anything else…so…let’s go!
Peace, and laser love.
raphael saadiq…tiny desk concert
This is from this NPR featurette called a “Tiny Desk Concert.” It’s just Raphael Saadiq on acoustic guitar with Rob Bacon accompanying on acoustic. His voice is incredibly soulful and his songs are like old rhythm and blues pop songs from the 60s.
His most recent album ( The Way I See It(2008) ) is a serious classic. Pick it up if you haven’t yet.
Raphael Saadiq – NPR Tiny Desk Concert mini-album
I chopped up the three songs he does in the video and put them into this EP-style acoustic album. Here‘s the video if you want to watch them play through.
Peace, and sure hope you mean it love.
The Martians…Hot Topic BTown Invasion
The Martians have teamed up with Hot Topic for the Hot Topic Invasion tour. They land in Bloomington, IN this week. Here’s the official poster i put together for them.
Be there!…or don’t i guess. But try to make it out. The Martians are live no matter the venue. Word up!
Peace, and martian invasion love.
M&M (eminem)…new old music
I picked up 4 never before heard (until today) unreleased exclusive raw ill…ok sorry…”M&M” tracks.
Here’s a couple of goofy pictures to kick this post off. Features Eminem with producer Manix and partner in rhyme Chaos Kid (making up the group Soul Intent).
Eminem & Proof – Hammer vs. Vanilla (Bassmint Suckerin Rhyme)
It just keeps goin, haha. Here’s an explanation as to what “Suckerin Rhyme” was…
Basically, the ‘Suckerin Rhyme’ was a way for us to have fun by freestylin. We would record the sessions to play back later and laugh at. They were never intended to be released to the public. They were purely for our own amusement. The term ‘Suckerin Rhyme(s)’ was derived from an old-school hip-hip slang term called ‘Sucker M.C.’ which was used by rappers to describe someone who sucked, hence the title ‘Suckerin Rhyme’. So the attempt was to, in a humorous way, represent a wack or ‘Sucker M.C.’. That was the only thing premeditated about this stuff! So much of hip-hop was so serious in its competitiveness and this was a way for us to unwind and warm-up to do some serious music we had written and intended to release to the public. In retrospect, I think some of these tracks are entertaining enough in their own sense to be released to the public finally. Anyone who enjoys the spirit of spontaneity in music and humor – impromptu, improvisation, or ad-lib, which came to be coined in hip-hop as the ‘freestyle’ should hopefully find some degree of merit and entertainment in these moments captured on tape.. Enjoy! -love, Snafu
Eminem & Chaos Kid – Unrealistically Graphic
Eminem & Chaos Kid – Poo Butt
Eminem & Chaos Kid – Artificial Flavor
Funny cause he totes started off just effin around (Poo Butt?). Jokin and freestyling…now he’s being put at the top of Greatest Emcee lists. Dude was still ill…i wonder if he ever paid Big Daddy Kane for this style (ha!).
Peace, and exclusive love.
martians poster…1.0
Yo, I’m on vacation and don’t have internet access (I’m at the local library), but I’m staying inspired and still creating. Here’s a poster I threw together for The Martians upcoming midwest tour.
This is a very rough draft…just messing around sort of. Anything you like specifically? Don’t like? I kind of dig the font, and the background turned out cool. I’m leaving space (see under the font) for dates, locations, sponsor logos, etc.
I think I’ll work on another one incorporating some stock alien type photos, maybe a spaceship, or people running or something. Any ideas? Let me know.
Peace, and inspired love!
The Martians…July 4th 2.0

The Martians…July 4th recording
The Martians were in Bloomington this weekend. Today (July 4th) they started recording for the new mixtape (coming soon!) Nice and Clutch. Here’s some shots i snapped and put together during the 2 song inspiration-fest.

July 4th, 2009
Be on the lookout for new music!! Take my word for it…it’s a new sound from the first mixtape (Spaceships & Beamz @ Datpiff) and it is sounding riDICULOUS!! The quality is waaayyy nicer, the music is different, and both Jack and Max are continuously getting better.
Peace! and patriotic july 4th love.
Gravity Jones…another update
What up world! So here’s another update for the Gravity Jones logo. I keep getting inspired and making changes (improvements!). But if you all could let me know which letter type you prefer i’d be much obliged.
Thus far people have expressed preference for both so…the help here would be great. I appreciate it all ya’ll.
Peace, and always gj love.
