wayne x eminem x drake…2010 grammy performance
this needs to be spread around so more people see the FAKENESS that the Grammy’s have become!!
THE SINGLE most important performance of the night…they effed up the sound (yes they broadcasted it this way). in addition to that, whoever was the light technician that choreographed this was not real impressive to me…pretty obnoxious actually.
this performance was really beautiful and seemed to be a good dot of the “i” on the decade. i am just so completely fed up with the grammy’s. they are stuck in a broad “everyone likes what we think is pop” mindset. they are run by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences which “is a U.S. organization of musicians, producers, recording engineers and other recording professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for music and its makers.” which sort of makes sense to me as far as the voting…but what about who sets up the performances, and the presentation, and the production, and writing of the show?? they obviously spend more time on certain pop acts opposed to others. also, the indie music scene is rapidly growing (especially with younger people…the ones who care about “pop music”) and i suspect will soon reach the point where it is competing on an even ground with the majors. will the academy continue to ignore us as they do now?…that would be a major mistake imo if they do.
just some things to think about…
peace and evolve love.
colin munroe…interview | performance | download
This is an interview touching on why he (as a white canadian dude) is embraced by the Hip Hop community, is a clear part of the new [urban folk™] (haha) movement (like KiD CuDi, Wale, Drake, Slaughterhouse…etc.), and has a successful alternative mixtape.
I just want to say it first here and now…in the next few years, you will see the mixtape (free ep, free album, samples/remixing other peoples songs projects) embraced by other musics not centralized to Hip Hop!! Watch.
If you don’t know about Colin Munroe you definitely need to download his mixtape…
Colin Munroe is the Unsung Hero mixtape (2008)
It features Drake, Wale, Black Milk, Mickey Factz, even Bob Dylan (remix…it’s INCREDIBLE!!!)
He’s on my “what to look for” list.
Peace, and embrace new love.
kid cudi…pursuit of happiness vid
this video is beautiful…the story is simple, incorporating the performance aspect into the story itself.

InfeRed…No Turn On Red (2009 mixtape)
We made it! Gravity Jones presents InfeRed‘s brand new mixtape No Turn On Red. Pick your favorite file site to download from below the artwork…
InfeRed – No Turn On Red links: megaupload | rapidshare | sendspace | zshare | mediafire | limelinx | filefactory
Gravity Jones presents InfeRed’s 2009 mixtape “No Turn On Red.” MLKjr said, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets, even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven played music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry.” Tony ‘InfeRed’ Graves feels his path is leading him to record and perform honest music. If it’s true that your soul should speak truest and loudest through your actions, midwest rapper InfeRed’s soul preaches through every line. In the vein of some of Hip-Hop’s most candid and ground breaking artists, Red works with a passion and dedication to his lyrics and each message they encompass. He is often likened to Jay-Z, Common, Royce Da 5’9, Elzhi, and, more recently, Wale. Download the mixtape, analyze the lyrics, scrutinize the songs, love it and hate it. Peace and much love.
Also, check it out, rate it, comment on it at datpiff.
Please spread it like wildfire!! Feel free to copy any of the links, artwork, music, burn it onto cds, whatever…just get it out there!! Electric grass roots style…
Also, please let us know what you think…
and while you’re at it check the official video for the single
The Higher:
Peace, and much love!!!
wale…kanye tracks that never tracked
Wale talks about 4 (potential bp3) tracks Kanye flew in to play for Jay-Z before a show. he wanted a couple of them, specifically “A Star Is Born” for the intro to Attention Defecit (in stores now!! it’s pretty ill!!!)…i would have liked it better with Wale, don’t really like the Jay version HONESTLY.
Kanye producing “Let The Money Fall” for Wale, KiD CuDi, Drake…dope. could still come into fruition??
peace, and remember to smile, love.
Drake…talking Hot 97 freestyle
“I’m a writer man, I appreciate the elements of Hip Hop. I appreciate a guy like Common who goes city to city and just spits at the crowd for ten minutes about everything he sees. I admire talents like that because…That’s not really my creative process.”
Vodpod videos no longer available.
here’s the crackberry recitation he’s referring to…
he just sounds like a basic up and coming rapper in the freestyle i.m.o.
he’s still really dope and in my top 4 favorite new artists…he’s a writer!
peace, and remember to smile, love.
lupe fiasco…forever freestyle (live)
here’s a video from a recent show where ‘lu when in over Drake’s “Forever.” my guess is a mp3 of this will be on the new Fahrenheit mixtape coming the end of November.
yea…he is better than all of them except maybe em (maybe!).
peace, and remember to smile, love.
drake ye wayne em…forever video
Drake feat. Eminem, Kanye West & Lil Wayne – Forever
Honestly…I think overall the vid is kind of boring. I dig certain parts but it moves a little slow for me.
I really don’t like Drake’s performance. Kanye’s is better, his pyro technics are pretty cool and I like how they die out toward the end. The LJ stuff thrown in is done pretty well in general (mainly just before wayne’s verse). I like Wayne’s performance enough. I like the red lighting, feels sort of drunk. Eminem’s performance is dope, even though not much happens…His verse is just way more interesting I guess. He just looks hungry when he spits…plus they feature Slaughterhouse (the crew…yes, including Royce!). Rumor has it the pieces are in place for a Slaughterhouse and Em track…I’d love to hear Royce and Em (bad meets evil) back together. I really like that last shot of Drake alot! It left a good taste in my eyesockets.

What ya’ll opinions??
Peace, and forever love!
Oh…and in case you missed the post…here’s InfeRed’s debut music video for The Higher…

Drake, Phonte, Elzhi…Think Good Thoughts
Drake – Think Good Thoughts feat. Phonte & Elzhi (Prod. by 9th Wonder

Peace, think good love.
