I LOVE the original version (See the original version again after the jump) but this video is amazing. Seriously one of the better videos i’ve ever seen as far as its connection to the song. the entire video you feel disoriented. you feel, not just as a viewer but a participant, like you’re messed up (on drugs, emotionally, w/e). really beautifully done.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Peace, and the constant pursuit of HAPPINESS and much LOVE.
Lu’s mixtape series expands…Fahrenheit 1/15 number 6 drops November 25th, 2009. The official title will come soon enough…
Be on the lookout! Check out those first 5 if you haven’t heard them yet.
Peace, and remember to smile, love.
Song Of The Week: 1st Edition!
Here’s a great song, from a very good album, with my favorite music video right now!
Passion Pit – Sleepyhead
I love the use of samples, sped up. Plus the dudes voice is GREAT (you just might need to take a little time to get used to it)…i love it though. This is wonderful music, and it is what indie music is right now! Really a great song…enjoy!!!
Peace, and sleepyhead love.
btw…these Song Of The Week editions, if you don’t get it right away, that’s okay. the point is to provide you with songs you might or might not know about, but i think they’re both important and really rad for particular reasons.
1. Can’t Tell Me Nothin’ (Alternate Version) w/ Zach Galifianakis and Will Oldham
2. Two Words feat. Mos Def & Freeway
4. Welcome To Heartbreak
5. Through The Wire
Honorable Mention: Heartless
Peace! and music video love.
I know Red has been into Sky, and i’m sure others digg him on here too so check out the first vid of a series called The Making of the Saving. He talks about how he feels now, The Salvation being his first album, plays a snippet of a track called “The Beautiful Decay” (9th Wonder), talks about his goals for the album, and plays a “For What It’s Worth” (Eric G) snippet.
The 9th Wonder produced snippet “The Beautiful Decay” sounds pretty w/e to me. Sounds like it should have been on a mixtape. “For What It’s Worth” sounds okay…in the same vein i guess. Both tracks sound very hollow to me, which is good because he has a pretty hollow voice so he’s not overpowered, but it gets a bit boring. I like him because he’s a thinker, just predictable is all so.
Peace, and much love.
