Vodpod videos no longer available.
peace and ?uest love.
Sorry i’ve been out of it this week. I’ve been trying to keep up with my studies so i’m a little backed up on here.
I just thought i’d kick things off with one of the funnier videos i’ve seen in a while. Refs always seem overly dramatic as it is, so this dude takes it to ridiculous measures so it’s like an outrageous performance. I’m pretty sure he’s acting, but it’s still…graceful…
It reminds me of South Park from last night. It was similar except dealing with professional wrastlers. Silly shit…
Peace, and unnecessarily dramatic love.
I picked up 4 never before heard (until today) unreleased exclusive raw ill…ok sorry…”M&M” tracks.
Here’s a couple of goofy pictures to kick this post off. Features Eminem with producer Manix and partner in rhyme Chaos Kid (making up the group Soul Intent).
Eminem & Proof – Hammer vs. Vanilla (Bassmint Suckerin Rhyme)
It just keeps goin, haha. Here’s an explanation as to what “Suckerin Rhyme” was…
Basically, the ‘Suckerin Rhyme’ was a way for us to have fun by freestylin. We would record the sessions to play back later and laugh at. They were never intended to be released to the public. They were purely for our own amusement. The term ‘Suckerin Rhyme(s)’ was derived from an old-school hip-hip slang term called ‘Sucker M.C.’ which was used by rappers to describe someone who sucked, hence the title ‘Suckerin Rhyme’. So the attempt was to, in a humorous way, represent a wack or ‘Sucker M.C.’. That was the only thing premeditated about this stuff! So much of hip-hop was so serious in its competitiveness and this was a way for us to unwind and warm-up to do some serious music we had written and intended to release to the public. In retrospect, I think some of these tracks are entertaining enough in their own sense to be released to the public finally. Anyone who enjoys the spirit of spontaneity in music and humor – impromptu, improvisation, or ad-lib, which came to be coined in hip-hop as the ‘freestyle’ should hopefully find some degree of merit and entertainment in these moments captured on tape.. Enjoy! -love, Snafu
Eminem & Chaos Kid – Unrealistically Graphic
Eminem & Chaos Kid – Poo Butt
Eminem & Chaos Kid – Artificial Flavor
Funny cause he totes started off just effin around (Poo Butt?). Jokin and freestyling…now he’s being put at the top of Greatest Emcee lists. Dude was still ill…i wonder if he ever paid Big Daddy Kane for this style (ha!).
Peace, and exclusive love.
i first need to say that tracy morgan is officially my favorite comedian right now. he’s incredible. it’s like he never breaks, he is just always in funny mode.
but in this brief interview snippet he talks a bit about coming up as a comedian, but specifically he makes a great point (that i’ve been trying for some time to articulate to others!).
study! do your homework!…get footage! how the fuck are you gonna know hot to be great if you don’t study greatness!
exactly! this should go with whatever you are into…watch and learn. we are a people of observation. think about the stress they put on the children having role models, why do you think that is? because right when we leave the womb, what are we doing? (aside from crying…and peeing), staring…looking around…observing. think about this. in fact, don’t just hink about it, consider and apply it!
and for the record…you ain’t doug flutie.
peace, and great love!
this song was dope because the music is good, t-pain destroyed it, and it was goofy (and they lampooned ridiculous boat videos). this is a live version on Jimmy Fallon (where, if you didn’t know, the Roots are the house band now).
I need to say…the band destroyed this. the music was on point and black thought was perfect! perhaps, better than teddy pain himself??
sidebar: i was just listening to some new cat that ?uestlove cosigned. dude was claiming he was old school and all this, then referenced b2k. i just thought that was funny, then i cut em off.
Peace!, and mermaid love.
I know at least 1 of you had Mr. Blair Karsh as a sub growing up. Thanks to Jameson Jones the Brick for this link.
Mr Blair on NBC (go to 17:05)
Too bad there was no “yellow, green, purple, or white, it’s all the same, it’s all right” in there.
Peace, and much love to autotune..and you.
i have a dream…everything great, will be autotuned. let freedom ring!!!!!
peace, love, autotune.
