November 5, 2009lupe had his annual concert/show/premier on October 29 at Chicago Congress Theater. i wish this kind of thing was taken on the road, or featured on some hd network special. anyway..

I love the use of samples, sped up. Plus the dudes voice is GREAT (you just might need to take a little time to get used to it)…i love it though. This is wonderful music, and it is what indie music is right now! Really a great song…enjoy!!!

q-tip/norah jones…life is better vid
October 22, 2009Here’s a reeaally good video for Q-Tip’s “Life Is Better” featuring Norah Jones.
I like Norah Jones…i think she’s very talented. Great, soulful but unprocessed voice. Plus she’s adorable and i have a big crush on her. The songs great but the video’s better.
I love the idea of taking an effect and being dedicated to it throughout a video. The problem is, my attention span is only so long so sometimes it gets old quickly. That’s the paradox and the risk one takes when taking this approach. This video does a good job with the quick cuts. Nothing seems to get stale ever.

referee…way too dramatic
October 22, 2009Sorry i’ve been out of it this week. I’ve been trying to keep up with my studies so i’m a little backed up on here.
I just thought i’d kick things off with one of the funnier videos i’ve seen in a while. Refs always seem overly dramatic as it is, so this dude takes it to ridiculous measures so it’s like an outrageous performance. I’m pretty sure he’s acting, but it’s still…graceful…
It reminds me of South Park from last night. It was similar except dealing with professional wrastlers. Silly shit…
